We live in a special place. Within 20 minutes of Colorado Springs, Monument, or Woodland Park you can be in the mountains looking at breathtaking views.
Many of these trails can be traversed in the summer with a stock 4-wheel drive vehicle. Anyone with an adventurous spirit looking for an afternoon of fun can explore these trails. However, if you are looking for some challenging rock obstacles along the way that can be arranged too.
During the winter these trails morph into challenging expeditions. The snow makes gentle slopes into steep slippery paths. Drifts can completely change the landscape and approach to the trails.
Whether you are new to off-roading and wanting to explore your own backyard or are an experienced traveler looking for new challenges we have trails and obstacles to share. Come join us for one of our adventures in the Rampart Range area with a guided tour or take a class and learn how to defeat challenges you never knew you could. Our instructor is an experienced guide, spotter, and master of recoveries. Not to mention absolutely passionate about sharing his love of the outdoors.
There are hundreds of hidden paths, trails, and fun places to travel in our vast wilderness. Not all of our adventures need to be filled with technical driving and daring rescues. Some of the best places to visit are down bumpy roads. Hermit Pass Colorado is one of those places.
This trail takes you above the tree line with some stunning views across a wide landscape. Tucked down in the valleys along this trail are emerald-colored lakes that are great for fishing.
At the summit, you can see for miles around. The wind will tease your hair and tempt you to fly away. It isn’t the greatest place to stop for lunch, but there are some wonderful pull-offs down by the lakes just below the summit where you will be sheltered from the wind.
